We were meant to find each other, I think, because I was way out of my normal route, strolling around aimlessly enjoying the flurries (SNOW!! :D ), when I looked to my right and saw warmth, and lots of red, and the word "French" about 6 different places. Say no more, man. I'm there.
I give you the store "P.O.S.H." Its a charming mash-up of vintage china, silver, gifts, stationary, maps, jewelry, and kitchen odds 'n ends, much of which comes from France or England.
Now, cover that in sparkly vintage Christmas decorations and thats what I got to enjoy today. I felt like I stepped back in time. But to what time and where I'm not sure.
A few favorites:
This is the first thing that I picked up and looked at. (go figure) It weights about as much as me, has a multitude of lovely pictures, and I have decided that I'm going to buy it for myself when I graduate. If I can wait that long.
Vintage Christmas Tree candles! Love love love. Especially the whole it-would-be-really-hard-to-burn-down-my-apartment-with-these part.
Baby stuff! It is a truth universally acknowledged that a person in possession of this plate must be in want of a pancake.
Just think how fabulous your next tea party would be with these sugar cube packets! (You do have tea parties, right? 'Cuz if not we have some serious talking to do).
So, go visit this place next time you are in Chicago, and take me with you! (please?)
Here's the website, but it doesn't do the place justice: http://www.poshchicago.com
I wanna go there! How do you find these places... lucky!
