Happy Birthday Julia!

She told America that it was ok to mess up in the kitchen...in ways she actually reminds me of Ms. Frizzle from Magic School Bus ("Make mistakes! Get Messy!") I love her outlook on life, and how to approach cooking.
"Never apologize!" Always rings out in my head when I think of her.

She also taught me how to cook on hot summer days:

Made me smile:

That pretty much sums up my life since as far back as I can remember; I just realized how appropriate my "Sara Pooh" nickname has been.

Day 9: Big

I got good and stuck on this one, dears. I think I'm trying to put too much thought into these, and now I'm weeks behind and its almost the end of the month..bear with me, I'll try to get several up over the next few days!
The bow that came on my Birthday Basket that my sister(and family) put together for me.

Day 8: Lunch

Every once and a while when I get to work one of the guys has made a taco spread for us. And as you can see, these are the real deal, right down to the lime wedge that you squeeze over the top. No dairy products in sight, and I don't even - gasp! - miss them. I'm going to miss this and the guys, though.

Day 7: Art

This is on the wall of a favorite little Bakery/Cafe/restaurant that is just down the street from my Apartment. It was started by a Swedish Widow, and has amazing cinnamon rolls and bottomless coffee. My kinda place.

Following the last post:

When ever I open my mail box, I picture that scene in Shop around the Corner, where Margaret Sullavan is checking to see if her "Dear Friend" has replied.

I think I need a James Stewart in my life. What do you think?
